Gap -Dong turned in another solid episode, full of shady characters and the tension between his good guy protagonists-though I a little careful only our kpl chief detective Chul-gon a full-on protagonist of the call. Our main characters established storylines, this episode gave us a chance to see more of the minor characters, namely the psycho-on-the-rise Tae-oh, who takes in his new freedom murderous enthusiasm.
I found this episode similar in tone to the first that there can outside, allay the fears of horror phobes (wimps of the world, unite!) - This show has got its violent moments, but it is not frightening or unnerving. I see it more as a mystery / whodunnit that it slipped makes more than I worried it might be.

EPISODE 2 RECAP
We open this episode with Ryu TAE oh, the mysterious patient who was just released from prison hospital. he was not our stabber from the last episode, but he comes to the same mall-coincidence? Something tells me there are few coincidences in this drama.
he search scopes the scene, hard walk to the buyer. in particular the women.
Next, he for a barista opening in a café submit his résumé. (it is important, that the café is the persona-if the manager asks why he does not have any professional experience he particularly noticed that Dr. Maria visited?) Tae-oh a working deceptively meek, he says shyly that he was doing much study ( " this and that, about things I like "). the shy kid next door routine works like a charm, and he gets the job.
Maria takes a shower, which allows us a glimpse of a birthmark on her left shoulder. Your clothes are stained with Mu-Yeom blood after his engagement in the stabber incident. The sight of blood-or maybe it's the memory of Mu-Yeom from his stab wound-deep collapse it rattles.

In his hospital bed that night, Yeom Mu can go upside the odd case of doctor with two sides: the angel caretaker in prison, and the tough-as-nails Badass.
Maria lives in a cozy trailer, and that night over patient records is hatched when they are knocked over a noise from outside as something heard from someone who should not be there. She tightens and grabs her Taser before outside, and is startled by a cat. She relaxes.
She gets a call from an unknown number, the Mu-Yeom turns from his hospital bed. He tells her that she him, the hospital is responsible for sticking and owes him a visit, then plans makes them somewhere to meet.
Ji-wool and the monk wage Mu Yeom a visit, although he moans that Ji-wool is not compatible with the the doctor's instructions for recovery. It is more and more seemed that the Temple people a sort of makeshift family-I constitute indication that young Mu Yeom had a shaven head and wore monk-like clothing, and his nickname among the officers (Ddol-Joong) is crazy Monk.

Later that night, a woman stands in front of a cafe in a less populated part of the city, waiting for their ride. We recognize them as victims of the episode yesterday, and she's wearing a cake box. A motorcyclist rides through and sizes her.
Now we are in the scene back, the result 1. The woman hurries finished their steps when someone starts near pipes, but as we know it for this world is not long. The attacker jumps at her, then she pulls prone body through the field.
Morning Maria is jogging while children play in the snow. The sight of a certain snowman gives you an eerie feeling and her mind flashes to discovered buried in snow Gap-dong first victim, though she shakes it off
But their assumption was correct after all. It is not long before the crawling area with the police. The body was in a bank of snow and woman partner Hyung-Nyun is discovered in a call to Mu-Yeom. The snowman detail is enough to get him immediately heading stab wound and all; Mu-Yeom hurried to the scene still in his hospital gown.
The forensics team busy cataloging the evidence and Mu-Yeom takes note of the way the victim's hands are tied in a familiar fishing knot , "So you were alive," he growls, "Gap-dong."
Maria falls through the store and finds Tae-oh much happier this morning. He thanked her for her help last night and takes its mission to throw in a coffee card that he Stamps nine times, say it is because he is now in a good mood. Why exactly are you so happy, Tae-oh?
Maria rejects the punch card, but Tae-oh tells her it's fun. The air turns eerie as it counts "One, two, three ... nine, ten . The feeling of accomplishment is very satisfying." Perhaps it is not irrelevant that Gap-dong murdered nine times observed. For what it's worth, Maria seems to sense something about Tae-oh, though so far they have no reason to be suspicious of him has.
Mu-Yeom does not grant access to the body, but the rest combs the crime scene. He takes a detail on that has gone overlooked: the buried box cake under a layer of snow on the side of the road. He recalls the cake box in a previous case found, and his mind quickly connects the dots.

Mu-Yeom tries a look at the corpse to get, but finds its way by an officer blocked, strict instructions were given not want anyone to allow inside. So he must try his suspicions second hand to confirm, to ask the forensic expert, whether the victim with a sock or tied with a fisherman knot was gagged. The expert jokes that Mu-Yeom could be the culprit, tease him about that to have an alibi.
Chul-gon are instructions, including say Mu-Yeom go to the hospital. Mu asks Yeom be allowed to see the victims who want to see whether Gap-dong signature is genuine or counterfeit. The tension rises-as it always works with these two in a showdown to Mu-Yeom is pulled aside from the others.
Chul-gon details with the forensic scientist confirmed, and wonders how Mu-Yeom could the facts known without seeing the body. The expert points out that he was quite obsessed with catching Gap-dong
Mu-Yeom waits after his inspection of the victim to catch Chul-gon, and asks if it really Gap-dong :. "It's the least you could you killed unjustly do for the son of the man after him his Gap-dong accuse." Suggested
Chul-gon answers to all but Mu-Yeom can tell from his reply that he does not think it's Gap-dong, and that he feels disturbed by the case despite his calm exterior.
Mu-Yeom indicates that it could be a fake Gap-dong, and this is so far not a serial killing. "Do not worry only," he says, "I do not want the fingers cut off immediately."
In Hospital Maria plays a game with the inmates, where they order blindfolded and the other circle, dodging her hands. It's fun times for all but one, as our wimpiest occupant hovering on the edge, for fear of being caught. He is the one who is afraid of his hut was be traced back to him, which means that until he has been given a name, it is Poopy.
When Mary feels to her hands, her voice-over recites physical characteristics Gap-dong, including the description of his hands "so soft to be like a child ". (The tidbit must have their own witness account, when he forced to play their rock-scissors-paper.) Keeping an inmate gets his hands, but they do not have to be what is looking for them, because they stated that they won 't rest until she finds the most beautiful pair of hands.
The occupants find that Poopy tried him to go for the doctor-through to the front and slide unnoticed. He turns and jerks back until he falls to the ground, then whiz off muttering: "I have almost found out."
Tae-oh goes through a luxury apartment, along some music predominant (always the classical music of our country drama villains) to enjoy and settling his comfortable surroundings. Okay, what's your problem? Are you a genius Barista Psychopath chaebol now?
Mu-Yeom unlocked an old storage room on the temple grounds, which has been neglected for years gone by So it looks like. He takes a box from inside which a photo of himself with his father. The rest of the box is filled with Gap-dong files with police photos, he has got on his hands somehow. Among on how his father was bullied and accused and how he swore to the criminal as a child to grasp, Mu-Yeom is in a call and calls for a return to duty notice.
Chul-gon him included predictably on objects to have the case, even if the sympathetic Section Chief Cha argues that he deserves a chance because Gap-dong the reason Mu Yeom was a policeman in primarily was. But the police chief leaves the decision Chul-gon, the Mu-Yeom will be omitted.

After Mu Yeom leaves lays Profiler Han in a call to Maria. Hm, how does he know it? He does not say much, and indeed hangs up pretty quickly after they said he was just bored and wanted them to give a ring.
Am Bahnhof, the detectives gather for a briefing on the case. The agree that Gap-dong is a professional who carefully the victim's own things to use little trace of themselves to leave behind in the murders. The autopsy the next step is to see if they can pick up additional clues.
Mu-Yeom finds Chul-gon observed the autopsy, and is preparing to make his appeal. Before he can, Chul-Gon presented with the autopsy results and a notable detail is that the victim was not raped.
Mu-Yeom asked back to work may be offering his arm if necessary to kneel, or cut off, but Chul-gon finds his sudden change suspicious than prepossessing. He says that the man who destroyed evidence for his father and a suspect may be in this case.
Now, this attempt failed in humility nowhere; Mu-Yeom takes to kneel back the offer. But when he then also check his phone, he drops his case notebook that cancels Chul-gon. Uh-oh. But he does not realize immediately occupied by Ji-wool nagging text on about when unwell. (He texts back: ". I told you not to do things as I have a wife")
Chul-gon takes the Gap-dong Notebook as a confirmation of his suspicions, calls Mu Yeom "Gap-dong son" and said that he must be from Dad, back to work. For me it makes sense, the Mu-Yeom would have collected all the information he could over the years, but Chul-gon mind is not in this way, it can be seen working more than a scrapbook of Papas. (I think it is because Mu-Yeom not have access to an officer to have these files.) At this point, there is simply not to change his mind, making him open the scariest (and worst) type of police officers.
Our motorcyclist goes out in the city, and this time we will see his face, which confirmed that Tae-oh. (On the other hand, we never have a confirmation that the motorcyclist was our Christmas Eve killer, although it is certainly suspicious.)
The motorcycle zooms through a field, in the woman loads up her truck with straw and asks the farmer to keep the rest for them. She drives off with their load, but at the traffic lights she looks on the motorcycle over near a bus stop stopped. Tae-oh trying to straighten the bike, but fighting with one arm in a sling, and looks at the woman with sad eyes, for sympathy fishing. It seems the way to stop, but drives on when the light changes to consider and Tae-oh sparkles in disappointment.
But then the woman has second thoughts and assures her truck on to bring a chilling smile Tae-oh face.
And you would not know is that the bus stop the same picture in the Gap-dong notebook from the old case. See his photo little nudges in Mu-Yeom that drives there on a hunch.
Tae-oh accepted the offer of the wife of a trip, and his flattery keeps them relaxed and unsuspecting. He marvels at her straw handbag and asks where something to buy, perhaps to the fact accommodating that it makes.
So instead of falling Tae-oh directly in his house, it holds elsewhere, probably to show him in her studio work. This also means they are now in a convenient secluded location and Tae-oh looks like he prepares to make his train.
She invites him in her workshop, which is full of woven handicrafts. He commented on how out of the way this studio, the "zombie game" suggests, play a kind of tag game. She points out that he did not hurt his arm ..., at which point he removed the sling and grabs the Association and said he feels better now.
you start to clue in something strange when it provides the body as blindfolded and tells her to choose: "Do you want the zombie want to be, or the one who runs away" She decides uncomfortable, "The ? person "
He tells her:" that's too bad you have, if you wanted to be the zombie, it would have been easier the wrong choice "
The woman looks at him with anxious eyes. He breaks into his broad grin.
Maria arrives at a university building and can be in one's office he heard Profiler Han, with its wall of Gap-dong photos. He's not there, and she digs through the files in his desk until it finds the Gap-dong folder. Ah, I bet Mu Yeom got his Gap-dong photographic evidence of Profiler Han, as the same photos are in this case files.

He's out looking at this bus stop, through its files. closely with the murder in the snow, so mimics Gap-dong first killing, has his suspicions led him here to the place of the murder of the second victim, despite his words earlier about not worrying because this was not a case series (... not yet.
Meanwhile takes Maria a bus from this stop, the review of the photos she snapped of the case files.
Mu-Yeom noticed the bike for a closer look at the site and stage left. Ah, his phone from juice, so he calls the station from a pay phone to look into it, because the bike has no license plate.
While the officer on the line chats with him and sympathized with his situation with Chul-gon, he does not see to collect Tae-oh arrival his bike, looking through activities all tired. A helmet diamonds he goes upside down from behind, and Mu-Yeom not to soil subsidence, which made him to know.
Tae-oh replace the handset to answer the call when placed and makes a call of his own.
COMMENTS
Now that the story is in motion, I feel confident that Gap dong will continue to be a well-produced, to be directed ball, and run smart series. It does not feel like it fumbling around in any way and doles out his story with a confident hand. It is nice to see a show where you can sit back and rest assured that those responsible to know what they are doing and how they are going to achieve what they have planned. Maybe I'm not in love with him yet, but that's okay, because the show is entertaining and keeps my brain busy.
I can see arising a familiar topic, which is useful in a whole crop of thrillers these days: Never trust anyone. The show is effective in painting any questionable in their own way, so that whenever it is connected to the smallest possibility of a character to Gap-dong, my mind jumps immediately suspected. As our Poopy occupant, for example, if I said that it seems too obvious to be the true culprit. If the show shows us in his direction of Episode 1, but it is only a diversionary tactic, is not it?
It's how I feel regarding Tae-oh how good that a creepy (likely) to be a great job killer, but doing so obviously our bad guy that I wonder if he any relationship to the original case was is. Is it just another distraction? Granted that kills a distraction is worth a diversion to stop, defeat, but ultimately I wonder if he has a place in the original killings or whether he just a really enthusiastic imitators.
But we also have peripheral characters, even in people in the police station as Section Chief Cha (it's so beautiful-is he to beautiful?) and Profiler Han, the one seems to be sweet, bumbling guy. But if he has a history of bungling has registered in the last step, whoever it is not intended to say ,?
Maria is an interesting contradiction, and the present disclosure was quite an eye-opener. I'm excited about the combination of victimization and survivor's guilt she wears because she spared a cruel death, but has to live with it, knowing that it they could have been. And they must feel tremendously guilty about winning this rock-scissors-paper game, even if the alternative would have been to be gutted. It goes on to explain a long way, why it is alternately fearful and brave. I'm curious if she entered her profession as a mere profession, or whether, as Mu-Yeom will track on a hidden agenda operation Gap-dong. Finally, her job is a lot like profiling, and she gets close access to inmates. This makes them pretty ballsy, but I wonder what would be their goal in this scenario. Or rather, what is their motivation? Is it driven by the need with their personal trauma to deal with, or is it a more outward goal of revenge?
There are many interesting questions will occupy us during the show unfolds, and I appreciate that. I do not admit the search for the specific case as gripping as I had expected because they (and I know this sounds horrible) a simple rape murderer not necessarily give us surprise much in the way of twists or motivations. As in, we will get an explanation of Gap-dong actions that go beyond ", he killed because he was a psycho who likes to kill?"
now right, it is too early to know how well revealed everything, but I feel sorta like it's a pretty simple secret and want a little more complexity. Not that it has a complete M. Night Shyamalan and Twist draw everything , so that what we thought was true, was far from the true situation at the end, but I would a kind as twist-not only in who the perpetrators, but also his motivation. Maybe I'm way affected God's Gift has managed to keep us on our toes and kept at each step of the way to change history. God's Gift is not a perfect show either, and its approach has its own critics (like too many twists, perhaps), but I will not deny that it is more fun to watch a show their goal keeps as a moving, where the goal is not secured all the way through.
But I suppose as an outright complaint more of a technicality, because it had enough Gap-dong that is very good that I will be happy to observe how they deployed. And happy I could also mean a little crawled out. That's a good thing, right
