Episode 12: "The end and the beginning"
Dae-gu under the truck crouches to hide from the killers, whoever comes after him with his own weapon when another killer shows the first killer to kill. because karma is a bitch.
Combat Boots fights as he choked to death beings and meets eyes with Dae-gu, hiding like a frightened little boy. boots stretches out his hand, gasping for breath. Gah, he has to save the man who killed his mother, or he does let him die?
Dae gu may initially not move, but he grits his teeth and slides on the other side then. he sends the second hitman with a swift kick down, and when the hitman sees that he is outnumbered, he retreats quickly.
when they are alone, points Combat Boots with arms on Dae-gu and laughs that he's a funny kid for saving him, if he is just getting started obviously go back to kill him. He says that it gave a time was the same when he was jumped in the fight to save his friend. But the world rewarded him with nothing but debt to tear him until there was nothing left.

The rest of them all take a moment to be proud of him, while he is sleeping, and they call him "our Dae-gu", which is just my Pelzchen the warm fuzzies. The boys ask Soo-sun, as he was as a child, and she says he was nice back then. Gook wonders if they lived in the same neighborhood during her childhood, but she does not answer.
Chef Kang comes Combat Boots in his cell to see and warns him to keep his mouth shut about anything. She gives him a scapegoat (the president of the company, the mother's statements threatened, which is already dead), and makes it clear that she and Assemblyman Yoo must be kept out of it under all circumstances.
He's not ready to be a good little soldier, when he was attacked just now, probably by an assassin, she sent for him. She says she knows nothing about it, and although it is clear that it the one with everything to lose here, she also knows that he has no cards in play remain. Chef Kang, on the other hand, is fascinating because it is motivated by something more complex. Yes, it is clearly out for themselves, but they tried to protect Dae-gu on every occasion, be it because it is their plan is crucial, or because they care about their well-being. It is not because it is acquitted of guilt, but it makes it even more fascinating than the standard issue mustache twirler. I get the mistaken-mother atmosphere of her type who thinks evil decisions makes it what is best for their child. I also think that it is the only smart enough to go against Assemblyman Yoo, so I'm rooting for them partly in this sense, even if it is frustrating that they keep active our good guys from the truth.
I hope Boots Note tried not located in, with his cryptic warnings about the people you trust in the next. Perhaps'll prove it to be useful down the line once they realize that their actions do not add up. I am a little disappointed by Pan-seok for not to press the issue further.
