Every moment, they are presented with the option and the opportunity to do otherwise, but they do not usually.

As always, it is a truism that harder bites because it applies to human nature in general, also outside the drama verse. If you, like Jung-do, you can "read a person's heart" and know what they most want, you can predict with reasonable accuracy, what they would do in a given situation. Jin-seok of the reappearance has injected definitely a new burst of energy (and fun!) In the story. That's not to say it was always stale, but things shaking is this show thing . But although Jin-seok to want really seems Sung-il consent (and is not offensive, but still a little cocky), I believe, Sung-il resistance to it is realistic, considering what the man put him by.
But the more interesting thing to point to is Jung-do people's ability to bring improbable sides: the "less good" Sung-il and the "less bad" in Jin-seok. It is a quality that you can measure against almost everyone is involved, as they are, do the opposite of what they expect of themselves, (no) thanks to him.
