Recap and reviews korean drama Sly and Single Again: Episode 16 (Final) -

We finally reach the end! First Drama I recapitulated for Drama Beans, Sly will always have a special place in my heart. I think it as my child, that I despair when I saw it, the wrong way down, but I defended them rabidly against his critics and always tried to explain his idiosyncrasies, so as to put it in the best possible light. And while Sly may not win any awards or scholarships for drama Ivy League got (no, this analogy will never end), it is shown a lot of heart, invites the cuteness and confidence both in themselves to laughing and from the mistakes of the past. to learn

The final episode RECAP

Ae -ra has tracked Jung-woo to a battered old office, where he divides his attention between multiple computers and a cup of instant ramen. History repeats itself before Ae-ra eyes, and it is pissed! calls you to Jung-woo and he tried to run away adorably, cowering when they blocked his escape.

Ae -ra reams of him and gives the glass CEO nameplate Jung-woo discarded after quitting. It does not say to show away until her back and stalks him. But Jung-woo is gooey expression when he sees her suggests that he is not all that discouraged by her coldness.

That night, Ae-ra holds a number of messages send Jung-woo, of which express all the encouragement or concern. Send After but you deleted it immediately.

Jung-woo gets its message in its programming Man Cave, hard at work with coffee and junk food. The message is: "Do not appear before me again ... ever!" Jung-woo just laughs and murmurs: ". We'll see you tomorrow, Ae-ra"

Sure enough, the next morning she was knocking has door of JW Ventures office, although no one answers. It centers on a window and sees Jung-woo and Secretary Gil sitting together.

Since Ae-ra does not know that Jung-woo works a new game on the design, it looks like the two of them are just wasting time. She snorts that he may not have felt so bad when he has to be good enough for games. The mood is playful and light despite Ae-ra angry eyes, and then Seung-hyun has to be considered in the ruin from the outside.

Jung-woo and Seung-hyun have a private chat in which Jung-woo learns that he still has some supporters among investors and employees at DonTalk. President Kook health is not very good, and Jung-woo name is still valuable for the company's image. Seung-Hyun Jung-woo told that return the election, or not up to him.

Ae-ra and Seung-hyun head out for a quiet conversation in the park. While Ae-ra waiting Seung-hyun returned with drinks, she sees a father and son go through and flashes back to the moment when she declared for leaving him her real reason Jung-woo. losing her baby, she made disappear the last hope for a better future.

Seung-hyun arrives, brings Ae-ra back to the present. He admits that he spoke returned with Jung-woo to the company, and asks Ae-ra, as it sees it. She is ignoring the love, and just focusing on the support of Jung-woo his comeback.

Seung-Hyun says he also tried to control his emotions, although he feels starved himself "in the body and the heart." He remembers Ae-ra about the meal she owes him, and it promises to do well.

Later Jung-woo in the hospital visited President Kook. Jung-woo promises that no matter what happens, he will not forget his debt to the man who changed his life. Although they went different ways, remain Jung-woo gratitude.

The ailing businessman is glad not Jung-woo is to have regard to lost, but he can things not left as they are: He asks if Jung-woo can not stay next to Yeo-jin and Seung-hyun to protect it, even after her father dies.

In a surprising twist, Manager Kam and team leader Wang for a secret chat on the roof meet. It is not so secret, but as it could be preferred because Soo-Cheol she sees through the glass elevator. Jung-woo was right in Episode 15 ... have got to install in this matter opaque walls!

The Family Restaurant, Min -Young their new mother holds and father-in-law well supplied with refreshments while they work. Parents reflect that Soo-Cheol could have found a better partner. Talking about her new daughter-in-law leads to the subject of her ex-son-in-law, who chooses the exact moment to enter the restaurant.

Ae-ra says she thought she told him never to appear again in front of her, but Jung-woo only ridiculed and asked for a bowl of rice soup with extra shallots. I love this version of Jung-woo, who crouches at Ae-ra when it is angry, yet steadfastly ignores attempts to be a precious idiot.

Father Ae-ra decides walk through with a dirty grill, muttering that he needs to hire a part ~~ POS = TRUNC to help with all the work, Jung-woo, to lend a helping hand. Jung-woo takes the keyword, provides the dishes to help wash. Back in the kitchen, Dad offers Jung-woo some sage Marriage counseling: say, "I'm sorry, honey," and a call comes in for Jung-woo, hinted that there may be a problem brewing with: "I understand, my sweetheart." the software development for the computer game.

After they get work in the restaurant, the young people drink a few beers and camp under the stars. When Min-Jung and Ae-ra go to replenish their snacks and beer supply again, seizes Soo-Cheol, the opportunity to ask whether Jung-woo is planning a comeback. He's pretty upset to hear that Jung-woo has no intention of his position recovery, but that he only prepared something to help the company when the game Jung-woo was responsible for barrels problems.

Later that night, while Jung-woo pretends to fall asleep at once, Ae-ra checks his phone to see what he was staring at. It is he selca in his apartment took, got the night when they get drunk and ruined their own plans a precious idiot. Jung-woo pulls beside him, and they share a comfortable moment of silence.

The next morning, Ae-ra is already at work cleaning the tiny office, as Jung-woo arrives. Ae-ra gives him a resume and explains that she wants to work with him. They are so incredibly nice, late addition of the polite "yo" to keep a professional tone in their new jobs

The interview consists of only one question. Why Jung-woo hire them as his personal secretary? Ae-ra replied mischievously, that nobody knows him otherwise as good as she does. "You pass," Jung-woo explained with a smile.

The company, Yeo-jin hears that the game is running in problems, and the only sure way to fix them CEO Cha is back to bring. Needless to say, it does not seem to like that idea.

When Jung-woo sneak the new start, Ae-ra holds Peeks at Jung-woo while he works. You will then be called to dinner by Seung-Hyun, who says that it is his birthday.

It does not take a genius to figure out that it is not, in fact, his birthday. He wanted to see her, and knew she would not come if he had not lied. Since it is already out there, Ae-ra can be pushed and moves to spend the evening with him. She is a little more forgiving in this situation, as if I were there, but perhaps from this point is realized that the easiest way is to deal with Seung-hyun, to let only get him his petty from.

Jung-woo calls Ae-ra later, wanting to know where she is. She makes excuses for a while, but he finally learns the truth. "Whose birthday?" it erupts. "Seung-hyun's birthday is in the middle of winter, when there is tons of snow! Get back here!" Pfft.

The cavalry arrives at Jung-woo office in the form of Secretary Gil, Manager Kam, and team leader Wang. It turns out that you sneak around on the roof part of Jung-woo plan after the company was also to look for the exit. They keep tabs on things, and Jung-woo tells them the good news that Shilla Hotels has brought interest in investing expressed.

While the investment problems can be solved soon, the problems with the development seem a little more serious. Right on cue, Jung-woo gets a call. He approaches the DonTalk headquarters, ready to save the day. I had hoped he would change in his DonTalk Superman uniform, but he rocks the Sweatsuit programming power.

looking on with the development team and Yeo-jin, Jung -Woo trying to get to the bottom of the problem. He thinks he knows what's going on and intends to fix it while he and Yeo-jin clumsy to ignore the tension between them.

Jung-woo, the new office is unexpectedly alive as his co-conspirators to the company to help to him. Team leader Wang and Manager Kam themselves into the project wholeheartedly throw, with Ae-ra, Soo-Cheol, and Secretary Gil all offer their help.

After out of work, Min-Jung and Ae-ra invite over team leader Wang. She says that everything is up to the CEO now, and pulls her tarot cards. The card she draws is death, which she interprets with Jung-woo to Ae-ra relationship than end.

team leader Wang told Ae-ra, they should be good to Jung-woo, while he is at her side; she was widowed, and knows what it's like to miss someone who is no longer with you. Although tarot card makes her uneasy, she points out as particularly not even love someone, but twice.

Jung-woo overtime in the office when Ae-ra comes in. It has a tray carries with snacks and is dressed in a short skirt and lipstick earned Chun Song-yi to kill. Jung-woo can not believe his luck, and disfiguration smooch his sexy secretary ...

... and it turns out to be secretary Gil. HA! Jung-woo rubs the sleep from his eyes. Secretary Gil reflected that. Just like in the old days, which triggers a flashback to Jung-woo days than bad aspiring programmers

He owes some money to the Internet cafe, but when he comes back to pay his bill, he finds out that a particular employee already paid for it. Jung-woo wants to pay him back, but he has already left for the army.

Secretary Gil had no idea that the grungy Hobo turn from the internet cafe in an IT mogul and offer him a job, but we are definitely glad that he did. From such small acts of kindness are the largest born Bromances.

Am Kook household, sitting outside director Oh with his employer and feeding him rice balls. A flashback shows us the cause of the Director Oh loyalty to the grinding businessman: As a director, Oh was just a kid, saves his food to his younger siblings to give President Kook offered him a rice ball and a job.

From this moment on, director Oh saw the president as elder brother, father and mentor in one. He repeated his desire always for the man who gave him everything, and the president shakes his hand with a deep, unspoken gratitude. President Kook can finally decided to divorce his wife, but bromance heals even the deepest wounds!

The voice of a TV announcer informs us that Jung-woo of the new company JW Ventures, is growing rapidly and is likely to become even more successful. But the deal does not seem so important to Jung-woo, the blindfolded Ae-ra performs the steps of her dream house on a. He leaves them on the stairs for a second, when he sees that the wind scattered rose petals, which had been placed on the lawn in the shape of a heart.

"Secretary Gil told me it would not be today windy!" Gripes Jung-woo, as he hilariously tries to bring the erring rose petals in the right shape. Ae-ra comes to him before he can finish the sentence, and the two flowers throw petals together.

They are sitting together at a small table on the lawn with cake, a bottle of wine, and the model of their dream home. Ae-ra mocks that for an IT manager, this proposal is surprisingly low-tech. Jung, however, responds that the Internet for ideas proposed by hours of searching, he found that most people still favor the traditional approach with candles and flowers.

Jung-woo is a heartfelt speech about how he came to realize that he still loved Ae-ra, and how he overcame his resentment. Despite his assertion that still are the best classical proposals, he whipped an iPad from a little technological flair to (although it starts with the wrong picture). He offers her the ring and asks Ae-ra him once again to marry.

Ae-ra, she says the ring can not accept, and Jung-woo covers her mouth when he thinks they refuse to get rid of him is , She bites the hand and get him to let them speak to her. Ae-ra ashamed to try a second time to send him away, and wants him to know that they will this time stay forever at his side. Asks categorically to get him to marry her, and her hand extends the ring.

They kiss happily in the yard, and we see a montage of the ups and downs of her second courtship. Three cheers for a second chance at love!

We left our favorite pair briefly to the unfortunate Kook siblings to pursue. Seung-hyun is to paint in his studio, and takes over the picture he of the he selca with Ae-ra took made. It causes him to pause for a long moment, and remember his time with Ae-ra.

A woman outside the studio arrives, sees Seung-hyun, and turns away to go. That's when Yeo-jin arrives, and we learn that the woman is her mother. She opens her arms wide, and mother and daughter embrace.

Back to Ae-ra and Jung-woo sitting together on a swing in front of their house. They have a cute little dog wearing a sweater, but that's not the only change in store for these two. They bicker back and forth about baby names, let us know that Ae-ra expected.

Our last scene shows the first time they met, with Bowl Cut Jung-woo and examination village goddess Ae-ra make a glorious comeback. They are both on the phone with their relatives so that they do not see each other at the rice soup restaurant toward the door.

you reach for the door at the same time, and then touch their hands. They look at each: Jung-woo is immediately excited, while Ae-ra him up and down with a sly grin looks. And so, at the end of our trip we finally see how it all began.

COMMENTS

I can not believe it over! Sniff ... excuse me, I'm a little emotional. Admittedly, there were times when all I had for the show was going to be over, especially if Yeo-jin broke my heart by petty and boring. In retrospect, I can honestly say, however, that I enjoyed Sly really and I think it did more things right than it did wrong. Was it amazing or groundbreaking? Not special. Were there moments that annoyed the heck out of me? Absolutely (I look for you at, Jung-woo family!). But it dealt with the issue of discrimination in a way that seemed realistic without losing of humor Sweet, or playfulness that first drew me in

My first gripe. Yeo-jin. I was rooting for them at the beginning, because I thought I saw glimpses of the uncertainty and quiet pride, mixed with an aversion (first) how many bitchy second leads to the same depth to sink that came before her. Unfortunately, the team of authors presented only was his time, before turning Yeo-jin in just tired archetype of conniving woman waiting to motivate without enough emotional depth of their scheming, or make it sympathetic.

It's a shame, because her character had such potential. If you'll allow a wannabe writer to indulge in a little rewriting, let me try to back up this claim and provide Yeo-jin 2.0. Imagine if Yeo-jin had her leg did not get lost in a stupid and completely avoidable car accident with a random hottie who is never mentioned again. Picture this scene instead: Years ago, when Yeo-jin was 9 or 10, President Kook woman's house with Yeo-jin and Seung-hyun in tow to the left. She meant to spend a few nights out of the house to protest her husband treat her. But her husband catches her and the two start arguing beside the road. Yeo-jin tugs at Papas suit, but he clips aside. She stumbles and falls directly in the path of a fast-food delivery scooters that can not escape in time, and the resulting accident caused them to lose her leg.

Yeo-jin 2.0 still has cause to annoy her father, but she has the rehabilitation stay with it because of the cost. When they grew up, they would not only become bitter and cynical about love, because of the failed relationship of their parents, but also because of the way they treated boys when she discovered that she had a prosthetic leg. represent in this alternate world, Yeo-jin burgeoning feelings for Jung-woo would for the first time gathered to take a chance on love her courage. The audience wants to anchor for them because we see them overcome their old wounds and thus themselves vulnerable again. The heartache when Jung-woo not return her feelings would be real and hopefully touching, but ultimately it would be result in positive growth and self-affirmation. Yeo-jin would realize that, although they can not be with Jung-woo, them, find someone who loves it deserves despite their disability, and also learns to hope that another Mr. Right is out there.

Ok, enough of that. As much as I might want to, I can not change the fact that the real Yeo-jin bought a one-way ticket to Crazy Town. And although she does with Jung-woo and Ae-ra, Yeo-jin her mother meet reconciled at the end. So I think there is hope that a person, at least through our grieving chaebol princess may be interested in.

My second biggest disappointment for this show was Jung-woo father die in the same sequence in which it was introduced. He was the only member of the two families that I unreservedly fallen. While Ae-ra family become better over time (completely disappeared and Jung-woo female relatives, thank God), they only touch my heart not the way Jung-woo of the kindly old father did.

Sometimes felt the plot a little uncertain, with sides slightly larger character roles take on and then fade into the background. For example, whatever came of Song-hee Run-in with Secretary Gil at the bar? They even had a follow-up moment in the great glass elevator, but that was the end of an interaction between them. Not only that, but Song hee disappeared almost completely from the last episode, not even at Jung-woo Crusade take the software development for the computer game store.

Despite the few head-scratching moments, however, the show was nice, even if obstacles were looming large. I loved the way Ae-ra has its own plan to be a noble idiot, for example. It is aimed for their great sacrifices, like so many other misguided heroes and heroines in drama land, then blurted the whole thing the moment when she had a few too many shots. I thought it was a decent piece written from our expectations to play and avoiding the risk that we saw all come.

So thank you, keep Sly, for your carefree tone. I loved the heck out our main couple, from their bickering their fantasy sequences for their realization, finally, that they have to forgive each other and be honest about their feelings. It's time to say goodbye Bowl Cut Jung-woo, the rooftop of the Not-So-private conversations, the great glass elevator, Ae-ra the contemptuous expression, and of course DonTalk Superman and Marilyn Monroe. It was a long and sometimes bumpy road, but we (and Jung-woo and Ae-ra) ended in a better place to when we started.
