Recap and reviews korean drama Gap-dong: Episode 8 -

The game heated in this episode, with ramps-up intensity and a lot more action. This is a welcome shift, because I really energy shock felt today-a drama as this tends to be more about the psychological interplay, and so it was easier for the Battle of Wiles between our good and bad guys in action, as I wanted. A mind puzzle is fine and all, but sometimes you just want to walk around to see a few guys and always made things, you know?

EPISODE 8 RECAP

Mu-Yeom can gradually go from Maria and said that with his head something is wrong, it's definitely, as he can not control his impulses. he wonders why she put up with it, considering how shy she about keeping people at a distance was.

Maria deflects and said that he did not rely on a strong front feeling to hide pain. She has a kind of idea has that he knows more than he admits, and asks if it he is something about she knows Mu Yeom leans close and says softly: "... survival is nothing to be ashamed as it no shame to be a suspect son"

Ah, so he knew Maria is stunned. and Mu-Yeom says he caught up when they talk about the perspective of the victims started. "I did not want to ask this if I was not to have," he says, "why are you ashamed of?"

the question stirred in her something he blame her surviving the nail hit on the head. But his phone is ringing, breaking the moment, and he replies expect Ji-wool, while Maria tries they rattled collect serenity.

But it's Tae-oh on the line that shoots up to eleven of his alarm meters. Tae-oh says that Ji-wool for fine now but their continued safety depends on Mu Yeom answer to his proposal. He got to the end of tomorrow to meet, will be sent with a photo of himself on the fifth murder scene as evidence.

Listening to his end of the conversation, Ji-wool suspected to be the fifth, is a victim. She says that the moment she saw him, she thought: "My fate is to end." Thinking of Mu-Yeom hugging Maria, she says, that she might be in order to die anyway, and asks where they should go, expect them killing. Despite the words, lies her tears and trembling punish their adventurism.

Tae-oh shuts Ji-wool phone and starts walking, muttering to himself: "Let's go for a walk, we hurt two people." interesting formulation are, put it on the site of the injured party.

Chul-gon hear that his policemen both the perp and the potential victim lost and is angry with his team. You will be able to narrow their probable area where call logs and GPS coordinates, but no leads about where they have gone.

Section Chief Cha suggests that the release, Ji-wool safely recover a public notice identifying Tae-oh as the wanted criminal, that is to say the fastest way. But Chul-gon Raine and said that this is probably what Tae-oh wants to do it, and that when they go public and then things go wrong, it could blow up in the air them, they are blown up 'll go for ever after the wrong suspect for. Profiler Han agrees, knowing that Tae-oh is to lay a trap.

Mu-Yeom bursting to share his message in the meeting room that Tae-oh puts him to be the fifth case of the murderer. He fired and raring to go, offer help Hyung-Nyun dwindling, because he wants to ensure nail Tae-oh personally. It's Chul-gon, the not to lose him, his cool warns because that is what Tae-oh want from him, he flirts with Mu-Yeom the "Crazy Monk" energy, and that may be the real reason he Ji-wool kidnapped.

Tae-oh paused on a bridge and waits there for a while with Ji-wool, which asks where he thinks they take next and if that is where they will die. He asks her why she is not running, or does not seem afraid of him, and Ji-wool answers that victims always runs in the movies. The murderer waits until it can weigh into a false sense of security, at which point he meets.

"If I'm going to die anyway," she says, "I want to die in a dignified manner." I know, I know, it is to be passive rather than their fate, but I do, because of a will, then there is something else, and two, Ji-wool was always would be the complication, not a solution. Plus their reaction takes Tae-oh surprised, and I pull him off his guard as he can get.

Ji-wool asks if he really a psychopath to kill without emotion. He tells her that a psychopath is not so simple.

Mu-Yeom a girl at a bridge railing stains and pulls over, although it does not prove to Ji-wool. The sight is doing it to remember, though, as up to two years ago flash back as Ji-wool had almost gotten a bridge in tears, and he had them off just before they dragged could.

She had always blamed him ostracized for them at school like a thief, and now everyone knows, and she's so ashamed die could. He points out, quietly, that she could prove only to be of a good child. Ji-wool tells him to take responsibility, because it's his fault the rumors got out, and he grumbles to be absurd.

When Tae-oh drives along the highway, Ji-wool asking questions, never mind the fact that they are driving too fast on a motorcycle together wearing helmets. Has Tae-oh victims to kill one to four? Did he approach from the very beginning to think, to kill them? She tells him that she will not run, so he can tell her the truth.

Mu-Yeom to study pore over his Gap-dong notebook the details of the fifth murder. Is he looking for clues, or recalling to follow paths to Tae-oh threat by? He fights back tears when he imagines an animated character to materialize in front of him, her hand on his approach.

Mu-Yeom outstretches his own hand and asks the blurry figure: "Please to access." But the hand eludes him.

, the prosecutor applies to remind him that Chul-gon will be out of a job if a fifth murder arises with Sektionschef Cha. The subtext is clear , that job could be yours . I see nothing opportunistic in Section Chief Cha reaction, but the grin of the prosecutor is disturbing.

The monk falls down with fresh clothes for Mu-Yeom and asks if something is the matter with Ji-wool, because it has not been out of the temple. Mu-Yeom is that there is nothing to worry about, but. By the arrival of Ji-wool desperate mother who alternately blames Mu Yeom for Ji-wool disappearance and asks him to save them easily refuted

Tae-oh and Ji-wool landing at the beach, where they sit quietly on the sand. She asks when he wants to kill her, and he clarifies that he never said he would, that was her assumption. You ask concessions on, if that means that they will not die. He says only: "Maybe."

He asks her how it feels to love someone, and she thinks about it. She describes the experience as painful and depressing, something that makes you feel miserable and irritable. "Why do people do that?" He asks, genuinely curious.

"It is not something you can control. It is something that just happens," she says. She notes in on his interest in the subject and asks who he wants, and he replies that he does not know whether it is still there, "but it feels like it could happen if it were with Dr. Maria. "

she asks what he means by "it" happened. He answers: "Me to change." Then he grins and she noted the heart it is painted on her fingernail, it linger long enough to be significant. Gack, I hope it only unappetizing not give him more ideas. Trust me, he does not need more of them.

Outside the station, our older bulls Mu Yeom notice to idle, humming to himself and to get to a wall. Not a promising sight, and Chul-gon sigh that is Tae-oh in always succeeded. He orders Mu Yeom to pull it together.

in the prison hospital, asks Mr. Choi Dr. Maria-a request to see which attracts the interest of the other inmates, our bumbling Poopy in particular. Is this the turning point? Is it more than the residents idiot, or just another distraction? Maybe both?

Choi is fidgety, as contrary he sits with Maria, about something. It glides over a folded note that he had hidden up his sleeves and asks her to pass it along to Chul-gon. He explains that Chul-gon had asked him to be his spy and Maria to look for when something has happened. She agrees to give the note, and he goes in a hurry.

to find when Mr. Choi to his room, he blanched a Bible open on his bed, a particular verse underlined. It is Psalms 21:10, which states: "You destroy their offspring from the earth, their posterity from mankind." A threat against his family? Choi looks panicked to

Maria opens the note and found only a number in the scrawled: "0314585466th." She starts to copy them down to have rescued only the paper from his hand. Choi has returned, and asks her, never saw her do it.

In a flashback we see Choi waiting in line to use the prison telephone. Again, we do not see the caller, but he had to be aware of the numbers punched into the phone. Shortly afterwards he saw a note of this inmate over to Tae-oh.

Maria follows from Choi, urging him to tell her who he cherishes it-the suspicion is Gap-dong, is not it? But he was to thoroughly warned and shells to deny it. She asks him to trust her, and begins to trust: "Because I ... really ..." But she again the pulse and ends with the words chokes: only that it would protect him. It is not convincing, and Choi apologizes.

Mu-Yeom desperation mounts as time without word goes Ji-wool situation. It is on the strength not to work furiously hard enough, and suspect that he has kept out of the loop because they fear that he would do something rash. He has not quite lost it, but seems well on the way, and preemptively warns Hyung-Nyun him not inform when, because he could kill him Tae-oh.

Finally, a note surfaces. After mountains of CCTV recordings combing, police Tae-oh motorcycle identify a particular highway, and gives them to pursue a direction. Hyung-Nyun raises the concern about Yeom Mu-acting unstable so Chul-gon decides to leave him out of the loop and mobilizes the power without Mu Yeom to inform its leadership.

Mu-Yeom happened the general area to acquisition, however, and clocks the entourage of police cars whizzing by. He called Officer Young-ae to ask for new information, only to have her lie that it is nothing. He needs to know, but she's lying expresses not, instead of saying that he has something to confess: He decided, is the fifth murder-it is the only way to go to save by Ji-wool who die because of him.

The big question: Is this a trick, or is he serious? I'm going to trick, because at that Young-ae shares listing informs him of the CCTV footage location.

Mary calls Chul-gon her exchange with Gentleman Choi Relay, and he promises to check with her as soon as he looked at them. At the same time, Choi huddles in his room, something from shredded bedsheets fashioning with trembling hands. A sling?

The neighborhood with students crawling, and Mu-Yeom a group of girls starts scolding for not at school to be. If they say it's class picnic day, he barks that all picnics were canceled for the murder forecast, only to hear that this is not İltan-ones is not considered in this neighboring city rules.

Now that you have the general region, Chul-gon looks in flower gardens and greenhouses to narrow their search, as that was where the original victim was discovered. Sure enough, Tae-oh has his way in a greenhouse with Ji-wool, which is up and unconscious bound on the floor. He takes a photo of her hands tied, in this heart focused on her fingernail, and invites them to an SNS account. The accompanying message is: "The time is not 5 on.".

Mu-Yeom has the same feel and running everywhere trying to find a way in on the grounds of a greenhouse. Officer Young-ae is the one to call and to make him aware of the SNS update, and it can be seen on the image blanches Ji-wool hand. Is it too late?

While the police scramble to get the GPS coordinates of the phone that uploaded the message, the fifth edition of "The Way of the Beast" is webtoon published. Section Chief Cha informed Chul-gon that the Toon contains a note.

Mu-Yeom finally finds a greenhouse whose doors open and heads inward, a pair of nunchaku in hand. (He has trained in them, as we saw from his younger days, but it is significant that nunchaku were the weapon of previous killer used? Has Tae-oh something to do with it?) As he advances, we see Tae-oh just out of the shadows. But then gets Mu Yeom a call using the webtoon idea what a real directs. He runs away to Tae-oh of apparent annoyance.

Mu-Yeom breaks Chul-gon call and report that he is to this address on the way, because it is closer and get faster to Ji-wool , Chul-gon warns him to stay put, because that could be webtoon a trap, and while Mu-Yeom agrees that it is possible, then it is too much to worry about with getting as soon as possible to Ji-wool, and ignored the order.

The leaves Tae-oh free to draw his victim by the greenhouse-bare feet, from where Mu-Yeom had been-continue his plan.

Maria remains in her office put, waiting for Chul-gon on the number indication of her to get back. Her mother called in a panic, worried that something happened after Profiler Han bolted alarm in response to some sort of SNS. Maria goes online immediately, their blood runs cold to the message to see.

Mu-Yeom draws to a local boardinghouse, whose name in one of webtoon drawings and burst inside. And would not you know, Ji-wool is here, alive and awake. Ohhh, so Tae-oh goes his other killing victims? In the webtoon that having regard intentionally planted, hoping it would lead someone to her. Screws in relief upwards

Mu-Yeom waving her close, then raises a hand, as if he beat for frightening. But she is frightened and contrite enough, and he flicks only her forehead, she scolded his warnings for disobeying. He asks where Tae-oh, but you do not know.

In a flashback, we see them in this room waiting together while she finished her fifth webtoon. She asks if they upload it, and tense when he sees the frame named Logierhaus in plain sight. But he gives her the green light to send them in, filing away her comment that it'll take about two hours to go live. Tae-oh out heads and said he would buy dinner.

This is where the story is interrupted Chul-gon, who arrives with the rest of the police, and he replies that Tae-oh, he was probably really meant to Hunting to go. Then the light goes on in Mu-Yeom head over Tae-oh true intentions, and he begins to run.

Am Bahnhof Profiler Han told the team about the uploaded SNS message and how it is likely to be a bait, because the police would fix on Ji-wool and divert real Tae-oh purpose. But that means that the girl in the photo can not be sure.

Mu-Yeom anger builds and builds as he drives back into the greenhouse, looking seriously close to the edge snapping. Tae-oh, the scene is now creating through heaped petals on the girl's body.

In a flashback we see how Tae-oh this evening made her acquaintance earlier than he would lead her outside the greenhouse. With his gentle courtesy and pretty face, she had something not suspected when he find help, asked some yellow tulips. They first turned his desire to show it directly, but he was so nice and friendly that they had concerns and turned back, after all.

Soon his true colors (and intentions) had become clear, and he 'd forced her to paint their nails with the heart. The girl had cried when she had adhered to ask what she had done wrong. Tae-oh had just been staring blankly and said that she had done nothing wrong.

in the prison hospital, Maria can not shake a nagging concern and asked a guard to let them in Choi's room that night. What she sees is her gasp in horror.

Mu-Yeom returns to the greenhouse with nunchaku in his hands and cried for Tae-oh, to show up. Tae-oh seems to be long gone, however, and Mu-Yeom gets no answer. Instead, he finds what Tae-oh left to discover for him. The grave of petals, a girl's body covered with only her bound hands and feet showing

Mu-Yeom falls to his knees, overcome with emotion. He puts his head in defeat, then gathers his determination: "Ryu Tae-oh," he growls. "Either I die, or I kill you."

COMMENTS

Oh, it's my turn to be a fan of the Ji Wool in danger. I knew it would come (based on descriptions from the beginning), but that did not diminish my appreciation for what he did for our history, namely for Mu-Yeom itself. I think Ji-wool as a characters amusing and silly, but regardless of how you see them on their own, it is really to say to provoke in Mu-Yeom, and in that it is remarkably effective.

We have Mu-Yeom of indignation and protecting his father inspired seen, but these are things in the past that he had to change powerless, as his adult self was fueled by a vengeful spirit of righting more old injustices and his father proved innocent. This was the first case in which he was driven by a fear that the presence and power was, and it gave us some really nice moments of emotion when he dealt with his fear about their safety. It is something like a pesky little sister / daughter to him, and in this respect, his answer is very parental, and I loved watching him struggle to his crazy monk tendencies at bay long enough to actually be of benefit to the person he loves. You know that he dies, only to lose control, but that is as productive as in the middle of the street sitting and screaming, so it get a grip, if it kills him. And you get the feeling that it really could.

I wonder where this leaves for future cases because, unlike the monk and his monk in training boys in the temple, there is no one more important to him than Ji-wool, so that future occurrence, the intensity his reaction to increase. I suppose Maria can join the list (and I expect that they mostly), but a recent romantic attraction is very different from type of bond that the child feel for you feel responsible for storing and (some) raising.

further, I'm curious if the drama will shake things up in the case-of-the-week format, because I will be too expensive. It would not be as much of a cycle of repeating the feeling when we do not know who the bad guy, but with him in the eyes of all of (well, one of the two at least), I do not know how they're going to keep things fresh for the next four cases. Because we got 10 weeks and nine murders, so I'm on the A-murder-a-week, our pattern has resigned. If they could find a way to surprise me, I would really appreciate it.

As for Tae-oh, I have to say that I get a big kick out of his new lovelorn turn. Not because it is reasonable, but because it is just so hilarious to me. The serial killer gets mopey romantic fear and a love triangle? Oh, K-dramas. Why expect anything less? It's such a weirdly funny twist for his character, that all the things that he is injured on the budding romance of two of his victims. But I suppose that a pychopath, intensified to find from a position of control. Boo hoo, I say, but it makes sense in a larger sense.

Well, I'm worried about making the drama take his is something to the hilt "they could change me" and a withdrawal follow bow, in which case have Imma words for the show. Many, many words usually obscene. Because come on, the guy has personally killed three women, a father, and ordered one person killed. You will receive no redemption at this point, no, sorry. I do not care how you get mopey about the handsome doctor who you do not like again, it does not excuse the whole part where you hunted and killed people relish.

But that's getting ahead of the show, and I will not condemn for something does not even have it done. When clear of it directs, I think I'm really sad, lovesick enjoy psychopath killer twist because COME ON. That's just comedy
