The final episode RECAP

His feet washed and asks in new shoes, Kang-woo if he should not come back. For this, Jae -yeol goes on Hae-soo grateful to Kang-woo, since he could have died at the end much earlier, when Kang-woo had not appeared three years ago to him, buried under its massive debt.

"you says I really comforted me when I comforted you, "Jae-yeol explained. he has come to realize how much abuse he suffered from his stepfather and brother scared him, despite putting a strong front. he knows how much he hated the powerless and helpless little boy who could not stop beaten his mother, and how scared he was when he ran away, barefoot.

Jae-yeol lowers her head, the tears just before and Kang -Woo comfortingly says that all in the past now. Jae-yeol is true, and added that to be in spite of his past, he grew into a rather decent adult.

Both try their damnedest a smile on their faces to keep, although the tears continue to flow Jae-yeol face. Kang-woo asks Jae-yeol him not to recognize in the future, "but if ... once in a while, you miss me, then look in a mirror. Because you are me."

Now it is really time for goodbyes and Jae-yeol pulls Kang-woo in a close embrace in trying to keep the tears at bay. Kang-woo: "Goodbye, Han Kang-woo." Jae-yeol:

Slowly Jae-yeol go of leaves Kang-woo down as the camera pans, and if it swings back upward, Jae-yeol is "Goodbye, Jang Jae-yeol." staring at his own sad reflection. Really now alone, he breaks down in quiet sobs and Hae-soo enters his room to be a literal pillar, to cry. (Because Disciplinary action for love be damned y'all.)

Sunbae Jo pleased about Jae-yeol to hear breakthrough, and when Soo kwang has the experience of the first episode he proposes in weeks had, So-nyeo yells at him for hitting, what is your (meaning him).

Sunbae Jo him scolds and says that he should be proud of themselves, only to get pinched and with so nyeo icy stare met. However, it has the potential to interrupt the pair Lady and the Tramp moment, however, cut through their common noodle with his chopsticks.

Things seem to be better for Jae-yeol in hospital sneak light hand holds with Hae-soo and play peacekeeper over TV rights with his fellow patients. Doctor Lee holds Jae-yeol-medication is adjusted, and it seems Hae-soo out of trouble with the Disciplinary now, thanks to Doctor Lee.

When hemodialysis soo ignored yet another call from Mom, Doctor Lee to avoid her mother encouraged her to stop. Not that Hae-soo has much of a choice because Mom comes marching later her daughter to collect moments. Jae-yeol sees Hae-soo left, and so do their friends Yoon-Chul and Hye-jin, who are here to see Jae-yeol today.

The couple expects provides Jae-yeol some encouraging words sure there are times when Hye-jin worried about how difficult it would be for her husband when they relapse. But instead of running away-what would be the easier option-Yoon-Chul tells her to love him even more. So Jae-yeol should not only be concerned about Hae-soo, and he has as much right as anyone else happy.

Jae-yeol calls Hae-soo mother (I think he will keep his phone?) And begs for a chance their Hae-soo to meet, where he'll convince them to leave overseas. Mom hears ago, hangs up without a word, and can explain before Hae-soo to send her daughter back to the hospital.

Following on the recent rise in share his book sales and an invitation as a guest appear on his former radio show, Jae-yeol says Hae-soo to go on this trip around the world as soon as she told him. When she asks if that's why he called them here, Jae-yeol responds openly yes.

asking if they break up again, but Jae-yeol argues that this is for her mother to be childlike. He will keep his treatment once he is discharged again, and teach them more about love ". Love does not mean to do something for the other person, but it means to achieve something"

He doesn 't want to give up on their dreams because of him, and they should, as originally planned feel free to travel. She asks if he be real, and Jae-yeol tells her to do her best to forget him next year. If they can not, they will also then talk.

He will not pick up their calls and of their visits to him to fall from here. When a doctor is persistent using their authority, he will move to another hospital. I wish that option on the table was much earlier, but what's done is done.

"Is it so easy for you to send me away?" Hae-soo, tears in his eyes asked. "It's hard," Jae-yeol admits, but this is the only way he save face with her family. She breaks into a tiny smile and asks what happens when she meets someone, and he laughs that he would then wish her luck.

He will not back down, just like as Hae-soo helped him to do with Kang-woo, he sends them away so that they have a stronger and wiser person comes back from this trip. Then Jae-yeol pulls his hand away, and repeated that no, he will not give in.

He followed with a kiss and send them away. She asks if he knows what is a terrible guy, he, and he gives a tiny smile. Fighting tears, Hae-soo leaves.

Mom is taken aback to hear that Hae-soo to take a leave of absence from work and head out soon. Hae-soo assured her mother that she and Jae-yeol really have called it quits this time, and that they do not contact Jae-yeol either because they are so much loves her mother.

Mom this answer accepted but then Hae-soo takes her mother's hands and asks her to trust them again. "Trust that I'm a good doctor who can treat their patients. And all that misfortune comes the way that I am someone who can turn this moment in luck again."

Mom begins to wonder if she begins approximately about alluding with Jae-yeol in the future, but Hae-soo she cuts with her farewell, and said that she would call often. A tear rolls Mom cheek by Hae-soo blades down.

Hae-soo returns home, where Soo-Kwang promises that he will not let go the candle for Jae-yeol in their absence. It is also Soo-Kwang idea PD Choi to win help to take them to the airport, and Sunbae Jo gives its short (but snappy) farewell sitting down.

Doctor Lee checked with Jae-yeol, before he goes to ask for the radio show, if he knows that Hae-soo leave today. He does, and later will be mobbed by fans on the radio building. He briefly startled when a high schooler asks for his autograph, but breathing again, if it was not Kang-woo.

He whispers of melody, whether pretending to be mentally ill to sell more books, but his own holding during the radio show. It's nice, Jae-yeol laugh again, to see, and so also the host who gives the word Jae-yeol to speak a few words:

Jae-yeol: "Hello, this is Jang Jae-yeol. I am sure many of you already know, but I am suffering from a mental illness. The doctors say that my condition is more common with a hundred suffering from it, and that it is not terminal, but one where full recovery is possible. I plan to do my best to believe in these words, ... because what I can do for those I love is, never give up any hope no matter what may come. "

Hae-soo is tuning in to the aircraft, while Mom Ok-ja and Jae-bum home listening to says in. Jae-yeol, he wants his usual four eyes to dealing itself; He had realized that he repeatedly asked how his audience felt and offered them a good night, but never said these things to himself.

So he asks to do tonight listener to wonder the same: "Are you really okay?" and offer good night. Staring at his reflection, Jae-yeol logs, "Good night, Jang Jae-yeol."

Our characters do separately the same as Soo-Kwang tells himself (and smothered with kisses), Sunbae Jo speaks to his reflections and Hae-soo tells herself to sleep well

an indeterminate amount of time passes, when we see Jae-yeol again. He is still in hospital, but has included writing again, and ignore an incoming call. From Hae-soo, perhaps? Definitely believes Doctor Lee Jae-yeol enough to examine it soon, has improved to unload. You and Jo Sunbae give each other a high five at their work.

Soo-Kwang and Sunbae Jo smile on Hae-soo vacation photos, and wonder why they go chose to Mongolia when enjoyed in Europe. Jae-yeol suggests that it was probably because of the cost, and refuses firmly to see Hae-soo's photos. Sunbae Jo asks if he and Hae-soo do not really keep in touch, and Jae-yeol rises from his seat.

Soo-Kwang asks if Jae-yeol will need to keep up with the treatment itself after being discharged. Sunbae Jo confirms it as need Jae-yeol continuous follow-up treatment.

We skip forward again to a year after Hae-soo departure. Over at Mama Ok-ja Place, Jae-yeol is its Hyung (now a full head of black hair has) a hard time, show a female guard prison in his interest.

Tae-yong adds that Jae -bum even had a little crush on Dr. Lee and Jae-bum is upset when Mama Ok-ja to change him a T-shirt, in the not doctor gives Lee favorite color ,

Soo-Kwang updated hemodialysis soo (and us) with how everyone is doing lately: Jae-yeol group therapy visits again, writes, takes his medication once a week, and Kang-woo in now no more than six months not seen. Jae-Bum takes on group therapy (led by his enthusiasm, Doctor Lee), and do so, Soo-Kwang father and mother Ok-ja.

He writes that Yoon-chul and Hye-jin, the birth of a baby boy was (but the baby in the picture, wearing pink) and Soo-Kwang, doctor Lee, Sunbae Jo, and PD Choi all enjoy spending time together in the house with their significant other. He asks if it bothers them that he made little mention of Jae-yeol, but encourages them to come back to see how Jae-yeol is himself do if she is curious.

We see Hae-soo back in Okinawa, a message to Jae-yeol storytelling. She writes as she spent a whole day at the shore, where they spent the night together, along with the other places that they have visited. It is tomorrow back to Korea heading hold on the tiny hope that he has not forgotten about them.

your great return home is practically fulfilled without fanfare, because her old home residents busy dispute over pieces of a jigsaw. Sunbae Jo is in a depressed mood, because his wife recently returned to the States, and Hae-soo grumbles about the house to see how a pigsty looking.

you helping himself to a glass of water, which is her plucked promptly out of the hand of Jae-yeol ... because he lives here again? Wait, he actually lives here again? She is happy to see him, but he is still his honest self, and tells her that she has become prettier, since she had last seen each other.

Hae-soo looks just as confused as I am now, so they. Barges in Jae-yeol Room It is hardly surprising, and she asks what he to get his previous comment. You can not be matter-of-fact tone understand now if he has not forgotten about them, and Jae-yeol admits that because he thought of her every day, it feels like he saw them just yesterday.

"I really missed you, Hae-soo," Jae-yeol told her, words that trigger their tears of joy. When he asks if he can kiss her, she breaks into a broad smile, and then falls for a kiss in.

Sunbae Jo and Soo-Kwang inside only burst, and ha, arises from this puzzle they worked on reads: "Our loving Hae-soo, Jae-yeol has been waiting for you." They even hilarious flop to see the current makeout session on the bed, just shooed be performed.

We fast forward another year from that moment (do that three-ish time skips now), and now Jae-yeol the bathroom a painting of a camel wearing leisurely walking in the desert. Hae-soo eyes on her positive pregnancy test to expand before it connects Jae-yeol back in bed.

It is in an angry mood, to change Jae-yeol calls gears automatic punishment mode. He asks groggily what is wrong today, and she gives him the pregnancy test to remind him how he convinced to have unprotected sex in it a few weeks ago.

Jaeger yeol the test and go out, and Hae-soo calls: "Yeobo" takes Omo, you two are married now? to confirm the wedding photos in their bedroom, and I have to admit that the family-picture is quite endearing.

Jae-yeol announces the happy news that he would be father Sunbae Jo and Soo-Kwang, which reacts with enthusiasm. Hae-soo, on the other hand, is not enthusiastic, and breaks their happy party by spraying with a hose.

Hae-soo parents are over the moon about the pregnancy, and Jaeger yeol returns home in time Sunbae Jo disapproval of Doctor Lee choice of friend heard. It turns quickly into a shouting match, and Hae-soo has her "I'm pregnant!" To draw card to reassure all.

After pointing out every mistake the other and the agreement things tomorrow hash, breaking the party in a huff. Jae-yeol told in Soo-Kwang rooms sleep tonight because Hae-soo is upset that she has to renew her community because of her pregnancy. They exchanged their views less than a minute later.

And if Sunbae Jo had suggested they hash things he apparently physically meant because we are transported to a white space where to throw the entire crew (sans PD Choi and mi-young, who are together now) at each other tomatoes. At one point, Jae-yeol and Hae-soo aim, and they cry that Hae-soo expected.

Submit As usual, Hae-soo and Jae-yeol light a candle that night and a prayer. In Jae-yeol radio show, he speaks of a closed candle that never goes out: only one reason: "It is why always remains lit the candle is in the interest of those lonely people who live outside the cave."

"for those who feel lonely and think that you are alone, know that someone always pray for you," Jae-yeol on. "Remember that there is never a moment that you were alone."

Jae-yeol and Hae-soo go for ice cream and a walk afterwards. You get a group of fangirls recognized, out of an enthusiastic girl, asks for his autograph (Cameo of Karas Goo Hara ). It is left piqued when he refuses, as it now in one day with his wife.

Hae-soo tells him that he his fans manner that lose, but all Jae-yeol needs is Hae-soo of his side. They tell each other that they exactly each type of the other, and he asks, what if she had given birth to her first child to another.

, it is not particularly keen on this idea, but smiles nonetheless. Jae-yeol planted a kiss on top of his head. "How about three?" Hae-soo hurls back happy. Jae-yeol: "Deal"

So we say goodbye to these figures, the idyllic from this end, their lives will continue to lead in a hopeful future. Given how deeply we went emotional pain in the source of Jae-yeol, together with the beginning of his schizophrenic symptoms-all of which the show to be final to explore continue until the weekend I would not be surprised if There is okay, not to end on a happy note. Not that happy-go-lucky soundtrack would have a bleak end allowed, that is.

So even with the heavy emotional content in the entire series, it was obvious that the courts would always be a message of hope to take away from Jae-yeol state hospital cases to Jae-yeol and Hae soo families and so on. As Jae-yeol confrontation and goodbye with Kang-woo, I looked forward to the moment when Jae-yeol, the manifestation of his emotional traumas and fears to fight, had to forgive the past and the years of guilt that followed and let finally go and move on. such that the exchange was as touching (and frankly, wonderfully acted by two actors in the scene), once Jae-yeol breakthrough between reality to recognize vs. arrived imagination, in my opinion could not develop as quickly Jae-yeol could reason and rationalize how a normally functioning adult again.

And it would not be the first time that such a change would leave in a character confuses me because Hae-soo sexual phobia in a similar manner, where-handled was would an emotional breakthrough (mostly) we liberate heard so much about her that anxiety problems. Jae-yeol was the one Hae-soo to send in their journey, they return a better person to say, encouraged them to do the things they wanted, and teach them to be a filial daughter. At the same time, their absence allowed him time to continue his psychological treatment and make probably on a lifestyle of maintenance with his mental illness.

There are times when Jaeger yeol speaks to what might be best for them, even at the beginning of his recovery process, which seem thoughtlessly compared make Hae-soo, the behavior and the words, as if Hae-soo asks if they are breaking up again in this hour. Or if they did not care about facing disciplinary action, just talking casually about how her boss had to ask on their behalf, only to be upset later on that their career goals to achieve, would be delayed because of pregnancy.

For a heroine who tries to chat with Jae-yeol their emotions at arm's length until they were together, she was the one deeper in their relationship, often painted as an annoying friend and sometimes a silly doctor. What also always been their reasons, I struggled to bring into line, as Hae-soo was stubbornly hung over how their breakups they would as Jae-yeol hurting the need for treatment, and how his improved mental health could only their relationship benefit. Although all this hardly mattered to the end of the show, because the time skips all brought back to an idealistic place a.

In a larger picture, I did not expect It's okay to be handled in terms of pioneering mental health issues in Korea. I think it's safe to say that the show has made achievements in painting mental illness in an open and positive light than before, and light on the stigma that still exists in today's society, though I be fooling me would, if I thought that the execution here was just real life. So it's a real shame, is so that the show remains from expectations that PD Kim Kyu-tae constructed as something related agree this show the world demand before its premiere, I would more with, if only the show chose various psychological problems of great depth as a focus of a Freudian perspective on sexually related issues, their impact on the subconscious, and its manifestations on a conscious level.

Admittedly, suggested the show more emotional beats that gave us much more insight into our characters in the last third of its course. Even with the emphasis on the characters who populate this world, I could see how There is also fine by so that we could have benefited in the history of Jae-yeol and Hae-soo pasts earlier, so that we could be invested in these characters as give, but us small bites of information along the way. By at arm's length, it felt like we were watching these characters, as if, instead of being a part of it in a fishbowl to observe a different environment. Sometimes it felt like the production personnel as protective parents acted us as viewers, our eyes shielding consider about everything we were told, and put beautiful people on our screen to entertain our eyes.

Not that you'll find me about watching pretty people on my screen complaining, mind you. But I think it's for the benefit of showing that Jo In-sung gave us a hero whose vulnerability was so palpable and raw. His endearment to his loved ones was just wonderful to see, because a character who wears his heart on his sleeve, is a much more enjoyable watch as a cold and distant cipher. Another notable performance was for the EXO D. O. as well, providing a fascinating character gave us in and Kang-woo. Even if all the different types of relationships do not always make sense all the time, they put a sweet smile on my face when it counted. And I suppose that it is the end in order, even if it is not love.
