Poor Sung gyum. The whole episode led us to this point: the heart-shaped stone lost, he is ready to lose his almost-girlfriend and perhaps love (a stand-in for a metaphorical heart of stone?). But that is likely to find the worst way.

Although the point needs no belaboring, Hae-young to much is too mature and grown-up for Soo-ah and they were never a good match. While he has his immature side, it is tempered by its position as an adult in the world and is therefore limited to his private relations. (All two of them - Shi-Chan and Sang-Hyo)
Sang -hyō meet him as an equal, which adds an important dimension of their relationship added, because it is so good at taking power back - not only of Hae-young, but in other contexts, too. A laryngeal injury would require an impact on the front of her neck, and the repetition showed particular the impact on was back her head. are saying even when we stood somewhat of a skull / neck fracture in their larynx (it works like that work?), would not then be the primary cause of death a broken neck? It is possible that the specific nature itself are on the plot not significant, but in a mystery where each clue counts, I think you have to be meticulous, otherwise it affects the general integrity of the show, and how willing you are a spectator to take this element seriously
