Gah, I hate Chul-gon as much. SO MUCH. He is the worst kind of "good guy", which is a term I use loosely with him, but I suppose is technically correct, since its objective justice. He is not a corrupt cop, he's not out for personal gain, he is not motivated by evil intentions. And yet, it is the worst kind of hero that he believes to be a hero, despite all the attributes controverting that come with heroism. It may actually be worse to be incompetent and powerful to be as competent and fainted. For while the good man without power often find their hands tied and not able to do something good, at least it is not active harm. You can not argue the same for Chul-gon, who is his own worst enemy to alternative theories have been so blind that he torpedoing its own investigation. I think I should be somewhat bittersweet find satisfaction in this irony, but above all I just hate him.
On the other hand makes it Mu Yeom the kind of hero I love to anchor, the smart and driven (and safely, a little crazy, but in a good way!) And the biggest underdog of all. Heart? Content? Complexity? I find Gap-dong surprisingly easy to watch (I expected darker and truth I wants be said dark), and the action seems relatively straightforward.
