Recap And Reviews Kdrama Gap-dong: Episode 18

Recap and reviews korean drama Gap-dong: Episode 18 -

Was it me, or was this episode incomprehensible? I'm still trying to find out whether it was good, just a little too cryptic for their own, or if it. Completely out of his rocker

If I'm confused about a drama, I try not to jump on the "this show no sense" conclusion, if I'm not sure that "I just did not" explanation isn 't more applicable. But I honestly do not know what it is, because it is precisely this episode as was just foreigners-they seemed certain to think their behavior was reasonable, but I could not for the life of me, the rules for their thoughts processes puzzles. It is one thing for a drama to be mysterious, but quite another thing (and not good) to be unfathomable.

EPISODE 18 RECAP

Maria says Tae-oh, that she would help him in a state " If you agree to pay the price for your crimes. "

Ooh, looks like Tae-oh, the offer accepted, because the next thing we know, he has been Chief Cha call this so-called ask freedom and the call is picked up by the police, who listen in. Tae-oh, he says it is not sure he can to Chief Cha trust promises and wonders if he should instead with Mu-Yeom to side.

boss Cha replied that the secret revealed to freedom is not helpful, yet-he will tell him when Tae-Ohs desperate to know. "So wait," he has.

now the ticking clock is the upcoming Gap-dong study, so that the priority so much evidence against chief Cha as possible to find. that is the task Chul-gon puts on his team.

, the two inspectors who previously Mu Yeom stripped of his position received some ridicule, and Ki-ri sneers, that if to help her, Gap-dong want to be accused of not contributing. The inspectors were quite belligerent about Mu-Yeom so with the cold shoulder I'm fine, honestly.

Then, one of the inspectors texts Cha, called him sunbae and come to ask. It is possible that its a blind loyalty (and not, say, co-conspiracy) because he seems to believe that Cha is wrongly accused. Cha thanks him for his confidence.

Mu-Yeom called Chef Cha to a meeting of the "two-Dongs Gap" and planes with them and what agreement they may have between them. You is not a win-win scenario, where the result of the two men to keep quiet positive. Instead, he describes their situation as a zero-sum. If one is gaining ground, the other loses

Tae-oh says Chef Cha that he is sad, but his case approaches trial and its primary concern is to figure which will help from him to avoid the death penalty , Cha looks distraught as Tae-oh Mu Yeom asks, "It's probably better to be a hunting dog, but to die, right?"

But wait, Tae-oh are Cha a chance to win his loyalty to-he told Cha abandon his secret now. This is in a very interesting conversation, in which each dialogue exchange the pendulum swings back and forth, Pro-Mu-Yeom one second and then pro-Cha. He plays it to see each other that it most, such as the evil genius he's benefit.

The silence stretches between Mu-Yeom and Chief Cha, now both fishing for Tae-oh help. Back and forth it goes.

leaves after Cha Mu-filled Yeom Tae-oh in on the working theory that Cha first murder was not part of the series, he began to cover his tracks serial killing. The creation of his signature node supports this and Tae-oh agrees that with the third murder, Cha took on the Gap-dong persona. Although I think more could swing Tae oh involvement in both directions, because now with the assumption I will that he acts as a double agent and that he eventually sided with Mu-Yeom. This show could always surprise us, of course.

Maria psychiatrist colleague manages the evaluation as Chief Cha to examine whether it has multiple personality disorder. Maria watches behind a one-way mirror as Cha answered questions if he ever heard voices or conversations in the middle of them forget. Cha plays it with his trademark gentle seriousness, as this is all confused and just want to prove his innocence.

When Ji-wool checks in next with Tae-oh, the sight of his block of wood furiously bristling with nails makes you gape. His face remains as empty as ever, but he says he does not expect that he was so angry. Ji-wool sighs and begins the nails pull him the surface of the wood with holes marred to show: ".. These are the scars you left in the hearts of other people, the people you have killed, threatened and hated"

Tae-oh face a little twitches, and he goes away feign indifference. Ji-wool presumed that he feels shame, which is something that separates humans from animals. Tae-oh, it releases quickly with as little interference to the insight.

In the observation room, Maria and the others shrink blank boss Cha watch on his own, and for a while, as he reads different materials. The shrinkage has on the differences in attitude and behavior at different times, to say that there is a switch in personality characteristic. When we locate our positions on the skepticism are meters, then I would shrink at one end to the "totally buying it" set point and me at the opposite end of the closer "dude it is faked." Maria is square in the middle, unsure which side to take.

Profiler Han gets another visit from his wife, while their negotiating wait. Sensing something about them, he warns against exposure to dangerous thoughts, like go after criminals. He must be, to read them properly, because Mary, the mother breaks into tears of rage and shouted: "I am her mother, I found out who he is-what am I supposed to do?"

The first Gap-dong attempt will be broadcast live, and on the first day the court is a variety of activities. The media buzzing around while the families of the victims in front of the courthouse with signs demanding justice. Cha is to testify as a witness, and on the way in, he holds a sign asking for Gap-dong reading forgiveness to search for a word, curling his lip with derision.

All major players present (Mu-Yeom, Maria) or watching on television (Tae-oh, the police) as Chief Cha takes stand. Profiler Han only in court for the fourth murder he confessed, but Cha was identified by the media as the alleged true Gap-dong, and now viewers know who he is. But I suppose he has been not legally encumbered, which is why he is still a free man.

The testimony goes fast, first to testify with Cha day of the fourth murder of his whereabouts, then to testify with Profiler Han that he had everything taught about signatures Cha.

Maria also testified, and asked if the perpetrators of the murder she's finished yet. She answers yes, and hand points to Chief Cha trembling. This causes a stir in the courtroom, and Cha called back to the witness stand.

Cha grows increasingly excited, his head in his hands when the district attorney buried pushes him to answer whether he is Gap-dong. Something snapped in Cha as he jumps out of his chair, glaring at the district attorney and growls: "Yes I am the true Gap-dong"

He turns a desk, at the DA swearing and cluck like he turns to face the audience. He swears Kim Jae-hee turn the neck, but as Maria moved him, standing up to face Mu Yeom it is still there and instead goes up. (What the hell, slowest bailiff ever? Do your job.)

"Good to see you, Gap-dong" Mu-Yeom says. Cha sneers without recognition: "Who is this bastard?" Mu-Yeom quietly imagines and Cha replied: "Oh, so you crazy punk to Cha Do-Hyuk follow sooner?"

Mu-Yeom thanked him for Gap-dong face to show the world, but Cha says that it is not because they have no evidence, no role. "You can not catch me," he says, "because that Cha Do-Hyuk is my lackey. If I tell him to get rid of evidence, he does. When I say the investigation into chaos, he does." His face twitches quickly in his anger, but then the crazy persona angry falls away when Cha staggers backward stunned.

Well played, Gap-dong. Well played. That was pretty convincing.

Cha is guided escorted by police officers, and holds out his empty face, even when Mu-Yeom refuses fooled by the fact. When he goes away, though, Cha grins to himself.

discovered something shocking Maria held her mother, and tears in their eyes Mom admits that she wanted to use the bottle the content to kill the bastard. For its own sake, I'm glad they did not get the chance to go with him. Sobbing, she keep close to each other.

The police are torn whether Cha to believe or view his ad as an act. Mu-Yeom says he might have been misled when he was better known not Cha, although he recognizes that Mary wants to believe the diagnosis, if only to allow themselves to move about the whole thing. He and recognize Chul-gon that if Cha evaluating a patient of multiple personality disorder tells him this greatly complicates their target and facilitates the printing of Cha.

argues in his review, meek boss Cha that he can not believe or remember that he acted in this way in court. He undergoes hypnosis to draw the Gap-dong personality, the Cha calls an extremely irritating bastard Do-Hyuk. Mockingly, it provides details about the second murder and how he killed the woman to laugh their naivety. In the final moments to do in front of her, he had said mockingly: "I am Gap-dong."

The matter before a board is set by doctors, and the lead psychiatrist diagnosed Gap-dong as the host personality, which controls the alter ego of Cha Do-Hyuk. He found six figures in all, including an older fighter and an abused child.

Maria is asked to weigh in, and it has no objection to say that this disorder may be the most logical answer. She apologizes from the weighing process, at the end of a diagnosis is reached: Yes for multiple personality disorder.

Mary does not look quite satisfied with the result, but agree that it'll help to this behind her. But then a thought she meets, and to review them race back to the interrogation room of hypnosis recordings. It is only now that she realizes that the Gap-dong persona to Gap-dong to second had called victims.

calls you to ask Chul-gon to clarify, and hears that it was given only in the third case, which was nicknamed Gap-dong by the police because of the Mu-Yeom of the father. Ding Ding ding! There is no way he knew it when the second wife died, and therefore is Cha.

But for whatever reason, Chul-gon and Mu-Yeom keep this information to yourself. You decide with Plan B to go before it has a chance to escape, now that his travel ban is lifted.

Rather counterintuitively, Cha showing his monstrous Gap-dong personality before the public allegedly did alleviated against him some of the ire of the people. In fact, it has been reduced for his death penalty calls. As a result, forecasting the lawyers that their anger will now be redirected towards Tae-oh, the case has been made precarious. Is this the human nature, or this strange writer? I ask because I do not follow, but the proceeds for the purposes of this storyline, I take it up and moving.

Maria approaches Chef Cha, after receiving his diagnosis and says she almost drained him the hook. She points out that he called himself Gap-dong before the name of the killer was given, this time not compliant if he maintains his innocence. She throws his words back in his face: "Did you win a good feeling?"

She calls him a bastard, which is human weakness abuse fluctuated would forgive unforgivable. He grins that "cheap forgiveness" holds no appeal to him.

Maria asks: "We should place the order now fix, whoever dies first, it will be Cha Do-Hyuk If you walk a strange road.. and find engraved in the back, a knife, there is no need to turn to see who it is. I'll be there. "Welcome back, tough-as-nails Maria. I missed you.

Tae-oh sends Mu Yeom a text, the Gap-dong his hero after all-after all, he was able to deceive the whole country. But he agrees to be the hound, and asks if Mu-Yeom know what psychopaths are most afraid of. Reminds him of chickens of race, he gives the answer: ".. There is nothing else you can catch them with It's the feeling that their lives are dear"

boss Cha notes that the flight ban is still present, and calls in the station, why ask. As it happens, the ban has been effectively eliminated, but Mu-Yeom has the whole station is still in force in on the ruse, so Cha believe it is. Tricksy!

Mu-Yeom calls Ji-wool next, very seriously questions whether it still wants that "random" she asked, and if they do not regret it it. She agrees.

Then Mu-Yeom called Chef Cha, who plans to leave in the next day or two, to challenge him to a final confrontation.

Tae-oh leaves a comment on Cha blog (about fishing, of all things), to congratulate him on his freedom. Tae-oh and Cha have a back-and-forth in the comments when Tae-oh reminds him of his upcoming trial, asking for an answer now. Cha replied that it imitated to confuse the Zodiac Killer Code only to the Eiffel Tower, he had no real secret with them.

Tae-oh presses for other secret to be as free. His application takes a desperate tone as he says he. Overlooking a much worse future than Cha He is stirred to wait Cha response, and inserts the tip that Mu-Yeom wants "to see the end" with him today. Tae-oh piques curiosity Cha he provides the way to freedom, and refers to the insanity defense under that Gap-dong influence, Cha complete control of his body and mind lost and is not responsible for his actions.

Cha responds with its response and dangling the word "completion" in front of his face, as it is the key to his salvation. "You need to play make her rock-scissors-paper", he suggests.

There is deliberately cryptic language, but he does Tae-oh is to end the ninth murder, that is, to kill Maria. Tae-oh writes back: "But what about the police?" Cha replied while everyone has Tae-oh scrutinized when another person to kill ...

he wide trails meaningfully and Tae-oh eyes at realizing from. I confess that I ... do not understand how this could possibly mean freedom, but Tae-oh seems to get it (should that be psychopaths telepathy) and calls Cha his hero, after all.

Cha gives him the order: "Go"

Luckily our boys got and Mu-Yeom and Chul-gon predict that the ninth case could happen today. This is their last chance to get both the Gap-Dongs as Cha must see this as his last chance to get Mary and Mu-Yeom in one go. Chul-gon adds that this is probably his last case. Those are famous last words, right?

Chul-gon calls Maria and tells her about Mu-Yeom plan to use the multiple personality diagnosis to obtain Gap-dong. In addition, he had asked to look Chul-gon after Maria and Ji-wool in case something happens. Ack more famous last words!

Ji-wool comes another art as therapy session with Tae-oh, drawing happy pictures to conduct and advised him to blow up balloons, if he has bad thoughts your thoughts to settle and reduce your anger. Tae-oh eyes Ji-wool closely and proposes a walk outside ... and leaves behind his tracking monitor. Uh, are not, as is to be unremovable, and not, say, like a watch taken buckle?

Glad Ji-wool carries the tracker Mu Yeom gave her, so the police are able to monitor their movements. First stop is a haircut for Tae-oh, while Ji-wool at the chance thinks back Mu Yeom referred. Now we see that they would have to ask for it: "When Tae-oh me accepts and agrees to the ninth murder, and I'm just saying, what if give me the chance to see if he really is incorrigible. " (How do you get a chance, after you are killed? This logic is all backwards.)

had

Ji-wool asked to with their own eyes, confirm whether there really no hope for Tae-oh, because otherwise they might not be capable of accepting it. You know what else difficult to accept? Everything after you're dead.

Ji-wool approved by Tae-oh haircut and asks why he wanted. He replies that today is an important day, then takes her somewhere "real practice." He her a bouquet of wildflowers hands and declared that she had said man today flowers give the other person to make them happy, so this is his attempt to this gesture.

you sit outside for a while, while sketches, and he asks: "Is it possible, do you think I could stop?". She is not sure, but offers ". Perhaps"

jump The police keep an eye on both Gap-Dongs, and we within boss Cha head for a moment to confirm what he's up to. He says that today he will put an end to both Mu Yeom and Kim Jae-hee-former at his hands, and this on his imitator.

While pause a trail on their way, Tae-oh pulls out his cell phone to text someone (Maria?) that Gap-dong told him to end the ninth murder. He calls it related to "rat poison to throw a crazy person" and asks how he should respond.

Cha at the back pool and finds Young-ae swimming. Mu-Yeom arrives and steps in to face Cha, dismissal Young-ae (taking hid with her a gun in a towel). Cha thought that Mu-Yeom planted a trap for him, and Mu-Yeom questions the idea Tae-oh in Cha planted mind: Mu-Yeom to shoot under the guise of "Gap-dong" personality.

Tae-oh lyrics Maria to come to see him and Ji-wool, blowing balloons while waiting. And then pans to show on camera that he is Ji-wool tied to a tree, sobbing, as he studiously that the balloon inflates.

Mu-Yeom out calls the Gap-dong personality, provoked his anger and grabbed the gun he has put in his back pocket.

Cha lunges for Mu-Yeom and knocks him to the ground, grab the weapon and when Mu-Yeom.

Bang!

COMMENTS

What is also going on. I do not understand Mu Yeom grand plan, not even a little, and it is confusing, because it is presented as if it all makes perfect sense. But I do not see what wonder if I'm crazy or tight. And while the always ways this time I have to go with the show, will lose tricksy in their trial and to be complicated.

For example, the question of which side Tae-oh to be a convincing one, and an example of confusion that works because it adds to the disquiet. We are suspicious of his motives and curious, to be its true driving force, and it fits with his character because it does not appear even Tae-oh his own motivation is fully aware. But Ji-wool back asking for confirmation is nonsense, and while I had quite with her idealism and naivete patients (because it wanting their nature to believe the best people, and I can accept), your own life put on risk see if it was worth your life seems to gamble, how stupidly circular logic. At best.

I assume that there will be Mu-Yeom plan is confronting more than Cha and being shot, even if his plan reflects Ji-wool, that he knows that he is in the line of danger is set. At least with him I can believe that he is a bigger target in the end things, or at least he had it better, otherwise this strange final showdown is lacking punch.

The show has deliberately kept opaque to keep his plan our power, but I'm starting to feel like the show, is getting by themselves in the way everything turned so much that you can no longer can take denomination. Is this meant suspicious? Or am I meant to find the suspect suspicious? Or is there a third layer of suspicion that? What should we still believe? In to make everything as cryptic as possible race, it all starts to sound like gobbledy-gook. I understand the literal words they say, but not what they mean . What? Why? Huh?

to go with another week, I will share my dissatisfaction expose here and wait for the drama pack itself, because at this point I'm not sure if my dissatisfaction is a misstep in the execution or a misstep in the intention. If it is exemplary only clunky I can forgive a lot, but when you try to reason something nonsense actually sell me, also I'm not buying. Let's see what the final week brings
