Ooh, this is different and interesting. As usual, our first episode is packed with introductions and some backstory on our protagonist, but we get a good feel for the tone - a bit dark and trite, but that's what makes it realistic and assignable.

I was a little surprised at the darker and suppressed tone of the play at first, but I guess the change in mood our typical workplace dramas. It has a more realistic feel to it, unlike the nice and fluffiness that accompany a workplace drama generally - which is more often than not a rom-com. I like the muted tone Misaeng , and I think the dull background of the workplace, the attention will help focus on our characters, which are far more complex than suggesting their surroundings. It's a nice juxtaposition and a bit reflective of reality - complexities that exist in the banal everyday settings. It is a different kind of charm, and I like it
Although Geu-rae was a zombie emotions in most of this episode -. To be fair, the Shi-wan is really good that glazed survey - there were enough hints and flashbacks to suspect that he has his reasons.
